In Narrabri today, at the Wee Waa premises of Auscott Limited members of Namoi Councils Joint Organisation along with The Hon Bronnie Taylor MLC, Parliamentary Secretary for the
Deputy Premier (The Hon John Barilaro MP) launched the Namoi Region Investment Prospectus.
Cr Andrew Hope Mayor of Liverpool Plains Shire Council and Chair of the Namoi Councils Joint Organisation welcomed guests saying “this Investment Prospectus has been
developed to showcase the business success and investment opportunities in the Namoi region.
“Like the Namoi region, the document is rich and diverse, and demonstrates the capacity of our region to get on with the job, that our communities welcome the development of and
investment in agriculture in our region.
“We know that the region can grow if we support the development of agriculture, innovation and attract investment in our communities.
Mayor of Narrabri Shire Council Cr Cathy Redding said “Narrabri is a growing part of the region and on the back of support for our bid to expand the regional freight links with
additional intermodal facilities associated the development of the Inland Rail project, the region is well positioned to grow.”
The Namoi Councils Joint Organisation is a collective of seven Local Government Areas that are working collectively and with the NSW Government to bring to fruition the vision of joint
organisations of Councils.
“We see the benefits of working collaboratively on economic development, building skills and our communities. By working together we can capitalise on the collective value of agriculture, processing and access new markets to diversify our economies,” said Cr Hope. The Namoi Councils Joint Organisation recently sought support from the NSW Government to continue its work with developing regional strategic initiatives and working together to build scale and capacity.
